Church of the Advent is located at 901 Baxter Avenue at the intersection of Baxter Avenue, East Broadway and Cherokee Road in the Cherokee Triangle area of Louisville’s historic Highlands neighborhood. The main red doors of the church face onto Baxter Avenue.

Several TARC bus routes service the area around the Church of the Advent, including the 17, 23 and 40 busses. If you choose to take the bus, we suggest using the TARC trip planner to select the best route for your visit.

PARKING

General street parking is available on the blocks around the church. Handicap parking is available on the street directly in front of the church at 901 Baxter Avenue.  On Sunday mornings, most commercial buildings on Baxter Avenue that are closed at that time have offered their parking spots for church parking.

ACCESSIBILITY

A wheelchair-accessible entrance can be found on the northern face of the church by the fountain. People using wheelchairs are usually seated next to the first few pews where the aisle is wider.
